Natural Polwarth Yarn 4ply / Fingering

from $14.00

Soft. Durable. Perfect for next-to-skin pieces.

This yarn is grown by a flock of white and naturally coloured direct descendants of the original Polwarth sheep established on our farm in the mid-1800s.

100% Polwarth wool of 23 micron over a 110mm staple. Not treated for superwash so it retains the natural characteristics of wool for warmth.

Undyed. The natural wool colours are Cream, Ash and Taupe - they complement the Origins range of solid dyed colours with classic style.

Hand-dyers will enjoy the Cream for vibrant colours, while the Ash and Taupe will create rich over-dyed effects with depth.

The yarn consists of 2 worsted spun strands, offering smooth, easy to knit fibres. Available as a 50 gram ball, 50 gram skein, 100 gram ball or 100 gram skein (3.5oz).
