10ply Naturally Coloured Polwarth Yarn (Aran)

A truly local yarn perfect for thick, warm jumpers in mind.

100% naturally coloured Polwarth wool which has been minimally processed to maintain it’s earthy character.

This 3-strand, well balanced yarn has travelled a mere 324km in it’s life between farm and processors in Geelong, Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat.

The grey yarn was grown at Tarndwarncoort and the white yarn was grown nearby by the Potter family at Fairview in the Otways. Both farms grow Polwarth wool to a type that is 100-110mm, 21-23micron with a pronounced crimp that adds an inimitable soft-handing, airy bounce in the yarn.
