Darning Mushroom
Hand-made darning mushroom to aide garment mending and embellishment.
Eric from Geelong makes these on his lathe using what he descirbes as “tree wood”! Bits of wood found here and there, often from the Tarndwarncoort gardens. His peices have a thick base and flat bottom so it can stand up on its own. The cap offers shape and surface for mending and darning, giving more life to the items you love.
Stepping up his wood turning skills, Eric also makes a mushroom with a screw cap revealing a spot for darning needle storage in the handle. Able to fit a 2 inch needle.
