A Woolly Weekend
Need a bit of a breather from the weekly grind? A bit of time to invest in your fibre craft? And add to that a little bit of communal gathering?
Right. We’ve got just the thing!
Once a month we host Crafty Sundays where woolcrafters bring themselves and a current project to enjoy the company of like minds, a bit of lunch and to hear what’s happening in our woolcraft world. There’s usually 20-40 people - locals and visitors.
The offer to join is open to all - even if you’re travelling around the wonderful region (Great Ocean Road trip calling?) and don’t know a soul here yet.
We’d love you to stay the weekend too. How’s this for a travel plan:
Friday afternoon/evening: Arrive at Tarndie after picking up some “heat-at-home” meals and treats at Birregurra Grocer.
Saturday: morning smoko in the Tarndie courtyard with whoever is on the farm. Have a look in the Woolshop. Lunch and a slow look about Birregurra, plus the option to stretch the legs on a bushwalk at Forrest. Back to Tarndie for a hunkerdown evening.
Sunday: sometimes there’s a local market in Birregurra in the morning. Then it’s Crafty Sundays from 12noon until 3:30 - 4:00pm. If it’s too much fun, then stay for a 3rd night, or head home refreshed by a bit of woolly fun.

Check our online accommodation booking site to see if The Stables Studio (1 bedroom) or The Farmers Cottage (2 bedroom) are available on the matching weekend.
Woolly stars lining up? Hooray! Book it in!
If Crafty Sundays looks fully subscribed for the month you’d like to come, sometimes people have to cancel their booking in the week prior, so keep an eye out for newly open spots closer to the time.
