🧶 Introduction to Lace Knitting

Discover the art of intentional holes and elegant design

Join us for a hands-on workshop designed for intermediate knitters ready to explore the delicate beauty of lace knitting.

Unravel the mystery of charted patterns while knitting a small lace pattern.

This is not a beginner’s class—participants should already be comfortable with basic knitting techniques.

Tutor

An endlessly skilled woolcrafter, Ruth Watson brings patience, clear instruction and a love for woolcraft.

Yarn

You’ll discover the softness and magic of Tarndie’s 8ply Polwarth yarn included in the workshop

✨ What You’ll Learn:

- The fundamentals of lace knitting, including how to create intentional openings using yarn overs

- How to read and follow charted lace patterns with confidence

🧵 What You’ll Create:

By the end of the session, you’ll have two lace panels that can be sewn into a stylish pouch for your phone, notebook, or other small items. Feeling ambitious? Combine more panels into a cushion cover or a custom project of your choice.
