Discover the magic of felt making and treat your feet to a pair of woolly slippers in the process.

Using Polwarth wool, you will learn the basics of wet felting including layering, shaping, embellishment and sizing.

Tutorage is by Jane Bear – a Colac fibre artist with 30 years experience with felting. Jane has enjoyed developing 3D felted wool pieces for CrossXpollenatioN Fibre Arts Exhibition in Colac while advancing her craft by participating in Grampians Arts and Fibre Forum Geelong each year.

Jane’s Diploma of Textiles and eagerness to help local groups discover the joy of felting sets the workshop up for a casual and informative session. 

This workshop is supported by Colac Makers Space as part of OFF AND CROSS — a month-long celebration of textiles, creativity and connection intended to keep the creative spirit alive while CrossXpollinatioN is taking a break in 2026.
